The appearance of artificial cotton cloth is very similar to that of cotton cloth, and the difference method is mainly carried out from the following points:
1. Finishness: artificial cotton cloth, the cloth surface is flat, there are very few yarn defects, no impurities, fine and smooth; while cotton shells, impurities, etc. can be seen on the surface of the cotton cloth, and the finish is not as good as artificial cotton cloth.
2. Yarn uniformity: The yarn strips of artificial cotton cloth are evenly dry, with few yarn defects; while the yarn strips of pure cotton cloth are not as uniform as artificial cotton, especially the medium-coarse cloth.
3. Feeling: Artificial cotton cloth, no matter the thickness of fabric, is mostly softer, while cotton cloth has a slightly rough and hard feeling.
4. Color: The luster and color of artificial cotton are good. Compared with cotton, artificial cotton is more vivid and beautiful.
5. Wrinkleability: Artificial cotton cloth is easy to wrinkle. When you hold a handful of cloth and spread it, many wrinkles will appear, and it is not easy to recover in time. Although the cotton cloth has wrinkles, it is slightly lighter than artificial cotton.
6. Dangularity: Artificial cotton has better drape, and the drape of cotton is not as good as artificial cotton.
7. Strength: The strength of artificial cotton is lower, not as strong as that of cotton. Especially in humid environments, artificial cotton has poor fastness. When drawing wires from the edges of the cloth, it is easier to break than cotton threads. Therefore, artificial cotton is mostly thicker in texture and is not as thin as pure cotton linen.
