Cats are born adventurers and are very prone to injury in daily life, not to mention that they are in estrus, because they are jealous and fighting, and they are even scarred. When you see your cat covered in scars, pet owners always feel distressed. It is necessary to keep some exclusive medicines and learn to deal with these trauma.

1. Three common trauma factors for cats

1. Conflict during estrus

The estrus is jealous and fights. During estrus, many cats, especially male cats, become more irritable, and they are prone to conflict with other cats.

2. Cats scramble for food

College fights and fights are likely to occur when cats who often go out, so be careful about cats who are used to hanging out frequently.

3. Accidental stabbing and scratching

Some cats are easily stabbed or scratched by some sharp things such as iron wires during their trip. Especially cats like to climb high and low, and drill into sparsely populated corners, where some fragments are prone to occur.

2. Emergency methods for trauma for pet cats

1. Cut and bite each other and get injured

When a cat fights or comes back from outside, it is necessary to check whether there is any wound. When a bite is found, it must be disinfected first, and then undergo treatment from a veterinarian to ensure the health and safety of the cat.

2. The cat is burned by fire

(1) If there is some burn on the feet, wrap the cat with a towel first, and quickly cool the affected area with running water.

(2) If the head is burned, first use ice to compress coldly, then wrap the affected area with a bandage, and then use ice to compress coldly from the bandage and immediately send it to the hospital.

(3) When the whole body is burned, you need to quickly soak the whole body in water, then wrap it in a cold and wet towel, and feed the lotion diluted with water to prevent dehydration.

You must never apply ointment immediately, but you must first cool the affected area with running water.

3. Bone damage and fracture

(1) If the fracture is not allowed to walk or drag the foot, do not touch the affected area casually to avoid damage to the nerves or blood vessels.

(2) If the wound is on the back, you can lie on the side of the wooden board and then fix it with a rope.

(3) If there is deformation or trauma or protruding bones, place a towel under the fracture site, and then hold it carefully to the hospital for emergency treatment.

When fracture, pay attention to fixing the affected area and do not pull it at will.

4. Falling and falling and drowning

If a cat drowns under the expected circumstances, you can grab the hind feet with both hands and hang them upside down for ten to twenty seconds, and then swing up and down three to four times to let the water entering the lungs be spit out; when breathing is weak, artificial respiration can be performed.

Because cats have slender hair and little oiliness, they cannot remove moisture and are most afraid of getting wet.

5. In an accident, the trauma can be detected simply. If the blood flow continues, you can find the location of the bleeding first, and then cut off the hair around the wound. If there are foreign objects or glass fragments, you must remove them first, and do a simple bleeding first, and send them to the medical treatment immediately.

Sometimes cats do not appear to have any trauma, but there are also symptoms such as hematuria or vomiting after one or two days.

6. Diet: Fish bones spur throat

You should use the left thumb and index finger to hold the back of the canine teeth to open the mouth, pull out the tongue, and use a flashlight to illuminate the inside of the throat. Then carefully remove the foreign object with round tweezers at the front. If you feel difficult or not, don't force it, it is better to send it to the hospital in an emergency.

If you find that the cat suddenly stops dining, or wipes the mouth with your forefoot or drains out of water to make a painful situation.

7. Foreign objects fall into the eyes

Once a foreign object enters the eyes, the cat will constantly rub the blood-filled and teary eyes. The best way is to send it to the hospital immediately, and it is more appropriate to be dealt with by a veterinarian in an emergency. To prevent the cat from rubbing his eyes continuously, wrap the cat's front feet with a bandage.

Use human eye drops to help cats wash foreign objects, which will worsen the condition.

3. Prepare first aid supplies for cats

1. Prepare for normal basics

(1) Medical alcohol: for disinfection, especially when you are given injections; you can also use it to apply on the foot pad to cool down when you have a fever; or clean your ears, and it is easy to wipe it clean with alcohol.

(2)Physical saline: for daily care. Rub your teeth, rub your eyes, your nose, and your mouth. It can also be used to rehydrate when you are sick.

(3) Glucose: When you are sick, do not eat to replenish energy. But feeding too much will affect your appetite.

(4) Nutritional paste for cats: a better nutritional supplement, very expensive.

(5)Iodine: Used by parents, disinfected when scratched or bitten by cats. Remember: cats cannot use iodine!

2. Preparation of equipment

(1) Scissors: Used to remove hair around wounds, especially in places with skin diseases, you must cut hair.

(2) Disposable injection needle: inject or feed the medicine. Feed water or feed when you are sick.

(3) Thermometer: The normal body temperature of a cat is around 38.7 degrees.

3. Apply medicines for external use

(1) Erythromycin ointment: antibacterial ointment, used to treat trauma. After cleaning with soap and water, use for smaller wounds.

(2) Chloramphenicol eye drops: used for washing eyes; you can also use redness or increased eye boredom.

(3) Erythromycin Eye Ointment: It has similar effects as eye drops, but it lasts longer than eye drops and is very good for treating mild inflammation of the eyes.

(4) Animal nephrotic solution: The effect of treating cat ringworm is very good.

When preparing medicine for cats, pet owners must pay attention to one thing, that is, some of the medicines used by cats are exclusive, and the medicines used by humans are not allowed. For example, eye drops will cause the cat's condition to worsen.
