Last weekend, an American netizen found a dog on the street, tied to a fire hydrant in the community with a leash. It sat on the grass, its eyes dull, with a huge backpack and a can of stuff next to it.

At first, netizens thought it was waiting for its owner to come back. Because the local weather is still relatively cold and the dog looks very sad, netizens can't bear it to stay here by itself.

So, he helped the dog keep warm while waiting with it. But an hour passed, and the owner still hadn't come back to pick it up... He opened the backpack on the side and saw it was full of dog food, snacks, toys, and a note.

It turns out that it was abandoned. Netizens immediately sent it to the Animal Protection Society. After the staff shared its information on the Internet, it caused a lot of criticism, and everyone angrily criticized the owner's irresponsible behavior. Until, the staff shared the note left by the owner:

"She is 5 years and 11 months old this year. She is a very cute little girl. But because I am seriously ill and have spent all my savings, I can no longer take care of it. I can only ask some kind people to help it and take it in." The staff said that the dog is very healthy and has been well taken care of before. The owner filled the backpack with its favorite food and toys; tied it to the fire hydrant with a leash to prevent the dog from running onto the road; and deliberately placed it in the center of the community so that it could be easily discovered... These small details all show that the owner loves it very much.

As he wished, the dog was soon discovered by passers-by and sent to a shelter.

But even so, some people still expressed anger and confusion. Fortunately, the dog is well taken care of at the shelter. It gets along well with other dogs and staff, and has a lively and cheerful personality.

And within a week or so, the dog found a new adoptive family and will soon have a brand new life.

I think this is probably what the owner wants to see. But no matter what, what the dog owner did was very inappropriate. After all, there is nothing happier for dogs than being with their owners. Finally, I hope that all dogs will not be abandoned for adoption.
