The Mirror reported that an American consortium has made a purchase offer of up to £4.5 billion for Tottenham, but the club's parent company ENIC Group insists that the club is "not sold".
British media said that the American consortium led by entrepreneur Brooklyn Eric has been revealed to have proposed a plan worth 4.5 billion pounds to acquire Tottenham.
Currently, Eric is making a £3.3 billion acquisition offer on behalf of a 12-member consortium (including investors in the NFL and NBA) and has prepared an additional £1.2 billion as transfer funds.
However, Tottenham owner ENIC Group insists that the club is not a seller. More importantly, sources close to the boss Lewis family revealed that they have not received any official offer or letter of intent from the consortium at this time.
ENIC Group has recently rejected two other informal acquisition intentions. According to regulations, any formal offer must be made public, but no such incident has occurred at present. The club has previously issued an official statement, making it clear that it will not be sold.
