Recently, when I was on business trips in China, I often encountered this phenomenon. There is a sign at the door of many dry cleaners that says that white and light-colored clothes cannot be dried, and stains such as paint, blood, and color cannot be removed. At first I felt very confused about why laundry shops cannot wash white clothes and cannot remove stains. I realized it after watching the machines they used and the laundry process. It turns out that the dry cleaning machine they used did not have a filter, and the distillation volume of the distillation box did not exceed 10 liters per hour, and no stain remover and oil were used during the laundry process.
It was not until this time that I really understood why friends often told me that dry cleaning could not wash clothes at all. It turns out that there are currently a large number of machines in the country that cannot be called dry cleaning machines that are engaged in laundry services. Because the dry cleaning machine must have a complete filtration system and add a certain amount of oil to suspend and separate the dirt washed from the clothes to prevent the clothes from getting gray. Otherwise, even using new dry cleaning oil will cause the dirt washed from the clothes to be re-deposited on the surface of the fabric, causing the clothes to be seriously grayed. If the distillation amount of dry cleaning oil cannot reach more than 30 liters per hour, the cleanliness of the dry cleaning oil cannot be guaranteed, and in this case it will also cause graying of the clothes.
