To commemorate the first Asian national team player in the history of the national team, the Football Association awarded the Frank Su family an honorary cap

During England's friendly match against Wales, the FA awarded an honorary cap to Frank Soo's family and the Frank Soo Foundation in recognition of his pioneering status in English football history.

Frank Sue was the first Asian player to represent England. He made his debut against Wales in 1942. He went on to make eight appearances for the England national team.

Frank Su was born in Derbyshire and grew up in Liverpool. His father is Chinese and his mother is British. He distinguished himself during his club football career, playing for the likes of Stoke City, Leicester City and Luton Town, where he was captain. Later, he also served as the head coach of the Norwegian national team at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
