In the latest BG2 Podcast, NVIDIA (Nvidia) CEO Jensen Huang praised Tesla and xAI CEO Elon Musk, calling him the "ultimate GPU." Huang noted that Musk’s ability to keep all the interdependencies of supercomputing in his mind allowed him to accomplish unique feats.

Musk is currently building xAI’s Colossus II. This project aims to become “the world’s first kilowatt-level AI training cluster” and uses a large number of Nvidia GPUs. Huang Renxun said that Musk’s way of thinking enables him to deal with complex system problems, which are among the most complex challenges facing mankind. He mentioned that the technology and funding for these AI supercomputers are quite complex, and Musk's ability to focus the interdependencies of all these systems in one mind is a major advantage.

In the show, Huang Jen-Hsun emphasized Musk’s sense of urgency and desire to build, and said that when will and skill are combined, amazing things will happen. He also revealed that Musk has invested at least US$400 million in the construction of Colossus II. This data center is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and plans to eventually expand to approximately 200,000 Nvidia GPUs. The future expansion target has not yet been officially confirmed.

Huang is confident in Musk’s abilities and said he would not be surprised if Musk could reach the kilowatt target before others. This all shows Musk's ambitions in the fields of AI and supercomputing, as well as his close working relationship with Nvidia.
