The government adds three new cooperative enterprises to help small and medium-sized enterprises integrate AI technology

After launch, this plan focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises with higher digital levels to cultivate generative AI digital leaders has been quite effective and has had a significant impact among local enterprises.

Chen Jiehao, Senior Minister of Government of the Ministry of Digital Development and News and Health, announced the news at the Asia Technology Enterprise Exhibition (ATxEnterprise) on Tuesday (May 27).

In addition, the Generative AI x Digital Leaders project will expand in the next year, benefiting an additional 1,000 companies and supporting up to 500 projects.

In addition, the Bureau of Investment and Media will strengthen cooperation with Amazon Cloud Technology (AWS) and Microsoft in the Generative Artificial Intelligence Digital Leadership Project to expand the coverage and influence of this program.

Chen Jiehao said that as of April this year, more than 200 companies have benefited and 50 generative AI projects have been supported. The next year, the plan will expand to benefit an additional 1,000 businesses and support up to 500 projects.

Digital Enterprise Blueprint, which is committed to helping Singapore's small and medium-sized enterprises adopt artificial intelligence (AI) technology, welcomes three new cooperative enterprises this year, adding more benefits to SMEs using artificial intelligence technology.

He said: "Our SMEs continue to show strong momentum in digital use, with more than 7,200 companies using artificial intelligence-driven, integrated, cloud-based solutions. Under this momentum, the Information Communication Media Development Agency (IMDA) will launch a new partnership to support the digital enterprise blueprint."

In his speech, Chen Jiehao also announced that the Bureau of Investment and Media will cooperate with Singapore’s National Artificial Intelligence Core (AI Singapore) to expand the artificial intelligence talent training program and launch a new “Artificial Intelligence Apprenticeship Training (Industrial)” program.

Chen Jiehao said that the digital economy contributes nearly 18% to Singapore's economy. "Although the global faces uncertainty, we hope that technology, especially artificial intelligence technology, can continue to drive quality economic growth."

The three companies are ST Engineering, Alibaba Cloud and Prudential plc. The Bureau of Investment and Media has carried out various cooperation plans. After the three new cooperative enterprises join, it will help improve the digital capabilities and network security capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises.
