Delta Electronics made a major announcement on the afternoon of the 29th, announcing the acquisition of Japanese company Noda RF Technologies Co., Ltd. (referred to as NRF), which will help Delta provide more comprehensive power solutions for semiconductor equipment and further strengthen the semiconductor industry layout.

NRF was established in 2002 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan. NRF provides a key RF power system (Radio Frequency System, RF system) for the core semiconductor process. It is the key to affecting the yield and process accuracy of semiconductor wafers. It is widely used in advanced processes such as etching, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and physical vapor deposition (PVD). It also extends to fields such as liquid crystal panel manufacturing. It can be seen that NRF plays an important role in semiconductor process quality, wafer yield and accuracy.

Delta will acquire 90.23% of NRF's equity through its subsidiary Delta Electronics (Netherlands) B.V. for a total amount of approximately 5.024 billion yen (approximately NT$1.034 billion). In addition to the original NRF equity held by Delta, Delta will hold the entire equity of NRF after the transaction is completed. The transaction is subject to approval from the relevant government authorities.

"Delta provides customers with high-efficiency power supplies in the semiconductor equipment industry, and NRF is an expert in radio frequency power supplies that complements Delta's technology. Past cooperation has established an excellent understanding between the two parties." Zheng Ping, Delta's chairman and CEO, said, "I believe that the addition of NRF will strengthen the product portfolio and achieve better synergy in technology research and development and business development, and jointly provide stronger support to global semiconductor equipment customers."

"NRF is committed to developing radio frequency power systems. Our products play an indispensable role in semiconductor equipment and promoting the digitalization process of the industry. NRF has long served front-line customers in Japan with its excellent R&D capabilities and engineering support and has been well received." Kazuri Noda, President of Noda RF Technologies Co., Ltd. said, "I am very happy to join Delta and look forward to combining Delta's global layout, manufacturing capabilities and business advantages to create more value for semiconductor applications."
