. Robusta coffee is original in West Africa, also known as cocoa coffee and medium fruit coffee. The cultivation area has increased year by year, and the world's total output is only second to Arabica coffee, accounting for about 30% of it.

. Viagra coffee is original in Viagra, West Africa, also known as Libya coffee and Daguo coffee. The planting area is small, and the world's total production is small, and it can only be consumed in a small number of production countries.

. Arabica coffee is original in Ethiopia, East Africa, also known as Arabic coffee and small fruit coffee. It has the largest cultivation area and the largest total production area.

The coffee grown in Taiwan is mainly divided into three major production areas, namely the medium and high altitude production area, the medium and low altitude production area and the Pacific marine industry area. Cultivation of coffee trees will also affect its flavor depending on the altitude. For example, there will be stronger fruit flavor in lower altitudes. As the altitude of planting increases, the fruit will be more tuned, the acidity will be brighter, and the mellow thickness will be thicker and more rounded.

The taste difference between Taiwan coffee

. Middle and high altitude areas: floral, tea and fruit aromas. Because they are grown in the central mountain range in the western region, the climate is cold and the sun is short, the beans produced are full, acidic, and have a slurry flavor. The main origins are Yunlin, Nantou, Jiayi and Tainan.

. Medium-low altitude production areas: cream, chocolate and fruit aromas, because they are planted in the mountainous areas with hot climates in southern Taiwan, the temperature difference between day and night is large, and the beans are produced are thick and solid, which also makes the bitter taste low, sweetness higher, and the acidity is medium, making it soft to taste. The main origins are Kaohsiung and Pingtung.

. Pacific Ocean Scenery: Fruit, spices and chocolate fragrances, due to the influence of sea wind, the acidity is medium-temperature, good sweetness, thick taste, and a fine fat feeling. The main source is the Huadong region.

According to the annual agricultural report data of the Ministry of Agriculture, the production volume of coffee raw soybeans in Taiwan in 111 was about 980.5 tons, of which the production area with the highest raw soybean production is Pingtung, with about 186.1 tons.

How many years can I harvest coffee varieties?

According to the agricultural main library information, coffee seeds begin to be realized 3 to 5 years after sowing, and the 20 years after the fifth year is the harvest period. Some old coffee trees can even be renovated and pruned for ten years.

Arabica coffee belongs to self-pollination. Cell division begins 6 to 8 weeks after the plant is pollinated. At this time, the result is affected by climate. The ovary of the coffee flowers rapidly grows into stone fruits by the 15th week, and the white and moist endosperm is developed by the 19th week. Then, the coffee tree provides photosynthesis products to make the endosperm mature gradually. The medium peel forms the flesh outside the coffee beans. After 7 to 8 months after the flowering, the coffee fruit can be harvested by red green.

How to tell whether the coffee beans are ripe?

When the coffee fruit turns from green to dark red, it means that the fruit is ripe and can be harvested. If it is not harvested, it will turn black and hard on the branches. Coffee harvests best in the red state. Generally, the fresh red coffee fruits under this state are actually called "coffee peach". The red outer skin has yellow-white flesh, and the flesh and seeds are separated by the intravenous peel and silver skin.

Why do some coffee beans have different appearances?

During the ripening process, two relatively known coffee seeds will generally be nurtured. If only one seed in a single fruit grows successfully, the seed shape will be round, called single beans or round beans, while most coffee fruits will mature and develop into two seeds. The two seeds will form a round shape. The dried seeds are commonly known as coffee raw material green beans.
